First time I have knitted with this small of a needle and this fine of a yarn. I like small projects because they usually finish quick. But this is not a quick project for me. I have to focus and take my time so I do not make a mistake. I want to make this for a loose leaf notebook, so I am shooting in the dark about how long to make the back part. I started with the Back first because I was having a hard time understanding the directions for the front due to my inexperience. I re-read the directions every time I finish knitting a few rows of the back part. I have had to look up several of the abbreviations to find out what they mean. Thank goodness for the chart provided. However, there is one abbreviation they do not provide the info for...SRI...
So, not only do I need to look up and find out what SRI means, I need to look up double Knitting because one of the people, on Ravelry, who made this project mentioned double knitting while talking about knitting this project.
Maybe I can find a youtube on this.

Arm Knitting
Watched a YouTube video showing how to knit without needles. Made three cowls with this method. It was fun and the project of Arm Knitting a cowl is very quick.

Finding Time to Knit
While on Christmas vacation, I went a few places and did a few things. I took some knitting with me too. A fast and easy project is what I took, Nothing time consuming.
One night when I went out a young woman came up to me admiring my felted water bottle coozie. She asked me if I remembered her from a year ago admiring my water bottle coozie. I truly did not remember her but I vaguely remember the occurrence. So, she proceeded to try to refresh my memory.
She said she would like to buy one from me and I informed her I could not do it for less than $20 because it took a lot of time to make. I thought that might discourage her but she agreed that was a fair price. I told her I was not from the area and was just visiting and if she wanted to buy the one I had right there I would let her have it. She thought about it for a minute and then told me she only had $35 on her until payday and she should not make the purchase at this time. I thought that would be the end of our conversation but no it continued.
She asked me if I could make four of the felted water bottle coozies and bring them on my next visit. She said it is the perfect thing to carry to festivals during the summer. She gave me her name and phone number along with the days she works. Now will I have the time to make them? You see, I work a full time job that has a great deal of after work work to do. And will she follow through and pay for them?

Ruffle Scarves for Christmas
I received an email a few weeks ago about a new yarn by Red Heart. There was a link to a video on how to make a ruffle scarf using the yarn. I watched the video and thought this looked attractive and easy / quick to do. So I went to JoAnne's to look for the yarn, found it, and purchased several Hanks. I made 6 different colored ruffle scarves. Christmas is coming up pretty fast. Decided to wear one to work to see if anyone said anything about it. I got several complements. When I told them that I knitted it, I either got a "Wow" or " You think you can make me one ".

More Felted Potholders
I am using my iPod to post this entry. So the entry looks different than when I use my laptop. My iPod decides how large the picture is going to be and where it will be placed. I am not sure I like the results. But I do like the convenience.
I have made several of these Potholders. They really work good. These are for my Mom and Dad. They are easy to knit and felt. I thought felting was going to be difficult. But, of course , it was not.

Water Bottle Coozie Enhanced
Knitted a new water bottle coozie. Made the handle smaller. Had a patch made for Sharks AFL team I like. It does not use their picture which I am sure has a CW. Added some little gem studs around the patch.

Knitting with Double Pointed Needles is Fun
Currently knitting another water bottle coozie. It is red this time. I am an AFL fan. The name of the team I currently follow is the Jacksonville Sharks and their colors are red and black. I definitely want to felt a shark or a sharks fin on the coozie. If anybody out there has any tips / suggestions on how to do this, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment. I need to hurry and finish this coozie because I have another baby blanket to knit for a boy who is due in October.
